October 18, 1979 – October 4, 2017
Carolyn was our strong and loving “Mother Bear” who met and fell in love with her Jason. He gave his love to her as much as she to him. Of course their son Keegan was the best gift of the love they shared. Jason wrote with the greatest sorrow my beautiful and loving wife lost her valiant fight against cancer and passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family October 4th 2017. Rest in peace my Angel.
Carolyn conquered the many obstacles thrown her way to achieve her biggest goals of being the best Mom ever to Keegan and being a teacher. How happy she was to teach the best 5th grade class ever at Nativity of Mary School in Independence, Missouri, in the Fall of 2016. She found another wonderful family to love and share her talents with. They adored her and she adored them.
To her son she gave the most important gifts: time, forts, stories, gardens, flowers, leaves, wind, and listening and all of the special little things that are so precious to us all. To our Mom and Dad, sister and four brothers is given our precious extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who know Carolyn’s heart. All of us are grateful for Karen Redlich giving us TEAM CAROLYN to share in the fight to bring a cure for Melanoma.
